Mít bỏ hạt, thái miếng dài nhỏ. Nếp cẩm đem ngâm với nước trong khoảng 3-4 tiếng cho mềm. Sau đó đem đãi sạch. Lá dứa rửa sạch, bó gọn. Cho nếp cẩm, lá dứa vào nồi, đổ lượng nước cao bằng 2 lần gạo. Sau đó đặt nồi nếp cẩm lên bếp đun sôi, sau đó vặn nhỏ lửa.
Khi nước cạn, nếp cẩm đã chín mềm thì vớt bỏ lá dứa. Cho đường vào nồi nếp cẩm, đảo đều cho đến khi đường tan thì tắt bếp.
Để nếp cẩm nguội thì cho ra chén, thêm sữa chua và mít, trộn đều lên là có thể dùng.
